With only 2500 miles on the original chain, it had some tight
links and some stretched.
Time to replace with a D.I.D X-Ring 530ZVM
- 112 links.
first thing to do is put the bike up on the center stand or rear stand
Locate the center link (blue)
Cut or grind off the rivet heads.
We used a tool to press out the rivets
Handy tip - use the new center link to tie the old and new chains together.
It makes it very easy to then thread the new chain on.
Grease the link liberally and install the O-rings.
Put the center link cap on and seat it.
Mushroom the heads on the center link.
Complete
Don't forget to adjust to spec.
I noticed immediately how freely the rear tire turns now.
The old chain was definently bad.
