It was bound to happen sometime and July 8, 2001 was the time.
A blind left hander going down hill + rider error = low side.
Went in a little hot, sweep turned into a sharp left, bike drifts out,
I leaned hard, hit gravel and the rest, as they say, is history.
What you see on the road is oil and dirt.
The generator cover ground through and dumped all the oil out.
BarryW and I spread the dirt to soak up as much oil as possible.
Being 90 miles outside of San Antonio, we had plenty of time to try and
clean up the site during the 3 hour wait for the truck to pick up the Busa.
The left pic at the scene shows the oil over everything -right pic at home cleaned up.
Good new -cowling is not cracked, so now I have a spare for track days.
This really bites only one week after polishing.
Broken clutch lever and skinned mirror.
Oh well, live and learn,
this happens when you ride on the edge.
