Wardsweb's Bottlehead Paramour Prep

After pulling it all back apart, I sprayed these with Minwax Red Mahogany stain.
I would let it dry overnight and brush with some fine stell wool before shooting it again.
I did not steel wool the final coat, as I wanted to get the bases really dark before the sealer went on.
Here you can see I had already drilled the pilot holes for the chassis mounting screws on the left base.
