Here is the stock alder wood base as delivered in the kit.
I place it on a flat surface and put elmers wood glue (the one for dark woods) on all the joints.
I then took a automotive tie down strap and wrapped it around the whole thing.
When I tighted it, it pulled all the jonts in tight. Let it sit overnight for the wood glue to dry.
