REK-O-KUT Rondine Rebirth

The first thing I did was to mirror polish the platter. Started by wet sanding with 400 grit and then 600. Then polishing with some
Mother's Mag Polish and a buff wheel on my bench grinder. Finished with some hand polishing using Happish SimiChrome and
a soft cloth for some real luster. I followed this up by adding some 3M dampening foil to the plinth to reduce resonance.

Here is the table on the original cabinet. You can see where someone did hack job on the back of it. So time to rip some tiger maple
to make a new cabinet for the Rondine.

I did a quick mockup to test fit the cut wood. I will be using metal housed RCA jacks, an IEC connector and stainless button head cap screws.

Here is the assembled cabinet with all the edges rounded. I added some rubber mounted M6 inserts for the spikes.

Before and after mounting the arm.

The finished table.
